Arts Bombast: Judy Linn
Photographer Judy Linn met Patti Smith in 1969, long before she was known as the “Godmother of Punk.” Linn, like lots of young people learning photography, took pictures of her regular old friends doin’ regular old friend-stuff. It just happened that her friends (Patti Smith, Robert Mapplethorpe, and Sam Sherperd, to name a few) would later become hella important. How wonderful is this series by Linn? It spans from 1969-1974.
Has anyone else read Just Kids? That too… is excellent.
