I am San Francisco-based aesthete, collecting the beautiful, the beat, and the badass. I sometimes go by the name La Lengua- it’s the tongue, the language, and the neighborhood in the Mission where I live.
Ribbon Around a Bomb is ruminations and images compiled as an archive of objects and ideas cloaked in time. This space is for a community of people who adores art, music and fashion on the edge. Although RAAB maintains a local (hey, Bay Area!) lens, it is for anyone who wants to explore culture untainted by Ryan Seacrest, cat gifs, pictures of cute babies, Sarah Palin, and reality television stars. Ribbon Around a Bomb exists to inspire the brain-dead and bored, and to satisfy my need to research, curate, and share.
While most postings are overwhelming positive, we’re not afraid of open dialogue, criticism, and oh hell, let’s just come out and say it: straight up snark.
