Arts Bombast: Beth Hoeckel

I’m completely taken with Baltimore-based collage artist Beth Hoeckel! And why wouldn’t I be? Her work clearly has strong similarities to Linder Sterling (one of my favorite human beings ever), not to mention I’m still riding the inspiration from LACMA’s women in surrealism exhibit that I attended last week.

She also has some great mixed media work too. I’m just gonna go ahead and call it was it is: “Artistic subversion of the female body- done right!”
