Style Ish: Suckers’ Twin Peaks Collection
The second my eyes beheld this glorious four-item collection by Suckers Apparel, my heart exploded. Then I orgasmed. Then I vomited. Then I fainted. (Are you surprised? You’ve seen my Twin Peaks shoots- I and II, obviously.)
When I came to, the entire fucking collection was sold out. But you know, it’s still online for us to obsess over, and when the restocking happens in January, you better believe I WILL OWN THE WELCOME TO TWIN PEAKS DRESS. I can’t decide if this is better or worse than this also-excellent TP-themed collection, but it’s certainly more literal, and more affordable.

Suckers also has a Bowie Collection– I don’t think it was executed as well- too costumey, but still cool.
Ribbon Around A Bomb 
You’re a Twin Peaks fan? o.O
The Welcome to Twin Peaks dress is amazing. I love the Laura one, too. The Bowie collection is gorgeous, though I’d agree it’s not very subtle. I’d really love to see them do a Franz Kline collection or something. (A girl in my Creative Writing class introduced me to him.)
By the way, I bought this book about post-punk last weekend, called Rip It Up And Start Again, by Simon Reynolds. Have you read it? I haven’t started it yet, but it looks good.
Speaking of Black Lodge, I see a lot of Veronica Lodge from the Archies comics, in the model wearing the dresses. The Fire Walk With Me dress strikes me in its smooth sensuality, as well as the rigid texture of the design. The Laura dress is haunting in its powder blue elegance. That Black Lodge t-shirt exudes punk genius. I really like the jungle cat print shoes, especially in the woods. I look forward to the Ribbon Around A Bomb broadcast tonight. I plan on listening to the Japanarchy show again tonight too. I appreciate Ribbon Around A Bomb for keeping the access to the best female fronted punk open to people like me who really love and need it.
