Arts Bombast: Justine Frischmann
I sort hate to start the post this way, but… remember the pure greatness that was Elastica?
Well, who knew that frontwoman Justine Frischmann is now, a.) a legit visual artist and, b.) living in the Bay Area? Apparently the fame took it’s toll on her, and she has officially traded in music for painting. And is married to a prof at U.C. Davis. Indulge yr eyes in some of her color-soaked and geometric-but-not-like-most-geometric-shit-you-see-everywhere works from the past couple years:
