San Francisco: New Wave Tidal Wave Threatens East Bay

Brilliant 1979 spoof newspaper in which, “Biafra Campaigns for Mayor” of San Francisco.

For those who don’t have impeccable eyesight like I do, the highlights are:

1. Biafra’s campaign is a deadly serious one. Definitely not a joke. They mention that cleaning up the Tenderloin is part of his platform.
2. A tiny blurb about one of my fav SF bands the Nuns– New Wave group the Nuns were asked today if they ever wear habits. “Only for sex,” replied one.
3. Celebrate the cremation of Woodstock.
