Aliados: You may (or may not) have noticed that my posting on Ribbon Around a Bomb has decreased lately. The reason is a very exciting one indeed. I recently accepted a part-time position with Guillermo Gómez-Peña, “post-Mexican” performance artist, author, thaumaturge-superstar and Artistic Director of San Francisco’s La Pocha Nostra.

One of my first projects for Guillermo was actually putting together an Indiegogo campaign for La Pocha Nostra’s Fall tour. If you support radical pedagogy, Chicano activism, unconventional art, or experimentation in general, you should throw down some dolla bills and get a mix-tape made by Guillermo. And if you tell me that you donated, I’ll throw in a mix tape of my own, ft. obscuro Spanish-language femme punk.
In any case, enjoy some Gómez-Peña / La Pocha Nostra images…

(Does thaumaturge mean magician? o.O I read this book where they used the word “thaumaturgy” instead of magic.)
